The Story of "Oops" - sent in by Joe Welch

These people in a jet boat were towed in. They must have been waiting for somebody to get the trailer and they were just floating in

the marina. One big guy was sitting on the very back of the boat, some other guy was near the helm, and a woman was floating in the water

holding on to the tip of the bow. The guy that wasn't sitting on the back of the boat started messing around with the woman holding the tip, playing

like he was going to hit her hands with the paddle. She let go, the tip of the boat pointed straight up and sank! My wife ran and got our camera. Some guy holding his jet ski at the dock obviously was waiting for a trailer, also. He jumped on and zoomed over to help, but didn't have a rope. He went back to the dock, got the rope, zoomed back over and promptly flipped upside down! He didn't have the lanyard connected so the jet ski continued to run until it finally sucked up enough water to kill it. He lost the rope, too. So now we have people and "stuff" floating all over. Some other people came up in a boat and tied a rope to the "missile" and towed it to the Nomad Trailer area. Tons of people helped lift that mess out of the water and onto a trailer. We have lots of pictures. Not a very good day for them, but I'm sure they will remember it for the rest of their lives. I know I will! Any mishap that doesn't kill you at least makes for a good story.
